Process & Procedure
The Lake County Historical Society preserves its collection to the best of its ability in compliance with museum best practices. Restricted by storage space, the Society limits inclusion of items in its permanent collection in keeping with the mission of the Society. Offered items are taken to the collections committee where they are discussed prior to final acceptance into the collection.
Please do not drop off or mail items to the Society without first contacting the museum. We want to make sure that your potential donation is properly identified and cared for.

The mission of the Lake County Historical Society is to preserve the history of Lake County, Minnesota through the preservation, study and interpretation of artifacts, documents, photographs and historic sites and to tell the story of our past and present culture.
