The Lake County Historical Society has three fulltime staff people supported by seasonal employees and community volunteers. The staff is responsible for the business of the Society including operations of the museums, the gift shops, the Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast, maintenace and repair of all buildings and grounds, archive management, research assistance and museum exhibit design.

This integral role will manage the day-to-day operations of the historic sites and stores. Providing direct supervision to frontline staff at our three historic sites, this role works in a team with the Executive Director and Managing Innkeeper to manage the operations of this dynamic organization. The Lake County Historical Society is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization which operates the 3M Birthplace, Lighthouse, and Depot Museums all located in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Founded in 1925, the Society has been collecting, preserving, and sharing stories of Lake County Minnesota for nearly a century!
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The mission of the Lake County Historical Society is to preserve the history of Lake County, Minnesota through the preservation, study and interpretation of artifacts, documents, photographs and historic sites and to tell the story of our past and present culture.
