Twin Ports History Fest is a week-long celebration of history in our region April 3rd through 10th at various locations. The Lake County Historical Society and the Two Harbors Public Library are teaming up to host a series of events on Friday, April 5th.
11 AM to 4 PM at the historic depot
1 PM to 2 PM: Two Harbors Public Library Archives Open House
2 PM to 3PM: Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps Presentation (Community Room)
Northern Bedrock was founded in 2011 to both create pathways for young adults to join the preservation trades workforce and to aid in maintenance of historic sites and landscapes. An Americorps organization, Northern Bedrock works with a network of project site hosts and trades professionals to provide preservation work and training to the next generation of skilled workers. Join Ian Wallin, Outreach Coordinator, and Charley Langowski, Executive Director, to learn more about Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps, Halfway Ranger Station Historic District, and Morgan Park as we explore two historic preservation projects happening in northeastern Minnesota.
