Mission:

Organized in 1925, the mission of the Lake County Historical Society is to preserve the history of Lake County, Minnesota through the preservation, study and interpretation of artifacts, documents, photographs and historic sites and to tell the story of our past and present culture.

How We Accomplish Our Mission:

  • Archives maintained of historical documents, photos, artifacts, and other materials. Support provided to citizens and media as requested.

  • Exhibits and collections are developed, preserved and displayed. The new Veteran's Room in the Depot honoring local men and women who have served is a recent example.

  • Education of both children and adults through the school, events and community organizations.
